ABOUT ZACHARY FORS
Zachary Fors strives to bring physical art back into cover design. His designs are all done originally on a physical canvas or board rather than digitally because he wants to create something unique from other literary works. His favorite medium is oil paint with palette knives, but he enjoys exploring with watercolors, acrylics, and ebony pencils. His inspiration derives from nature and his adventures, but everything from a television opening song to a dish at a restaurant can catch his eye.
He is the creative director and cover designer for McKinley Aspen, author of Praesidium (Shadows in the Wind). He also works as an artist on retainer for Muse Literary. In addition, to cover design, he creates merchandise for Aspen’s series. Not only does he do “SWAG” and cover design, but he also enjoys painting one-of-a-kind works that are available for purchase.
Zachary Fors is a learner and explorer. If it will make a good story or cultivate growth, Mr. Fors will do it. He lives by the idea that every day is your tryout for the life you want, and growth never occurs in the comfort zone.
Zachary loves traveling the world to see what makes everyone unique and similar. His favorite places include Arches National Park, St. Louis, Yellowstone National Park, New Orleans, and Florence, Italy. He enjoys national parks, especially as a self-proclaimed hiker. Although he has not traveled much beyond the United States, he plans to explore Japan, England, Sweden, and other countries in the future.
Zachary is a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization and the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team. Mr. Fors loves movies, especially the Untouchables and Ford v Ferrari. His favorite tv shows are Primeval and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures, but he is a sucker for classic reruns of NCIS (especially the Christmas episodes).
In addition to creative projects, Zachary is a student at Tulane University studying business management and history. He is a radio DJ at WTUL New Orleans 91.5 FM in his free time. He also enjoys exploring the city of New Orleans to find the best food, music, and art.
